Success is not the end point, but rather a daily habit.
We are all world champions … in our own thoughts!
We know pretty well what we have to do to be successful. Most of the time, however, there is a discrepancy between our thoughts and our actions … the implementation of what we know we should do.
This discrepancy between goal and reality not only has a negative impact on business figures, it also creates personal stress, anger, fear and demotivation.
On our own it is often difficult to see or acknowledge the problem, find solutions and then implement these successfully! A fresh, honest and experienced view from the outside can be exactly what is needed!
2 strong pillars for your success
You and your sales team are good. You usually achieve your goals. Much of what you and your employees do is intuitively correct.
But if you take a closer look, or when challenged to bring in more business or create higher margins, you might see that "intuitively good" might leave some room for improvement.
Maybe your conversion rates could be better.
Or there is a problem when addressing customers.
Or maybe it's the mix of "old hands" and "young ones" that causes problems in day-to-day business.
Do you have sales processes that take a lot of time away from actually selling?
Or do you keep getting under price pressure because your customers don't see the added value of your service?
You are a managing director, board member or top executive. You are successful!
... but are you successful BECAUSE you are who you are, or EVEN THOUGH you are who you are?
Unfortunately, being successful and having achieved a lot doesn't mean that you don't have problems. From my experience, the biggest issue is to admit to ourselves that we are not where we want to be, not as successful as we want to be, maybe not even in the right place, with the right skillset or mindset.
Having made it to where you are, usually meant that you had to roll up your sleeves, and JUST GET IT DONE. To do it because nobody else would, or to lead the way. Pretty lonely sometimes! And quite exhausting to always be the one others turn to for answers. To lead and to make sure people follow. … and to do that in times when your inner voices says "You just can´t!" or "Are you really good enough?" "What if you fail?"
So who do YOU turn to in these moments? Do you have the right person to help you approach your issues at eye level, privately and confidentially, openly and honestly.
